“Lip”-or-Treat! Panelists and attendees had a hauntingly good time at the Halloween-themed October Lipedema Patient Roundtable, complete with creative costumes and heartfelt conversations.
Does anyone notice their lipedema worsen when they’re menstruating? What about during pregnancy? And we know that too much candy can affect our teeth, but can lipedema cause dental issues? The medical professionals and patients on our panel answered these questions and more — no sugar-coating here!
It was almost spooky how fast the hour went by, with discussions covering everything from the recent American Vein & Lymphatic Society Conference, gentle movement as self-care, “spoon theory,” and the real-world horror of experiencing fatphobia from doctors.
A big thank-you to our panelists, who are always a treat:

The Lipedema Patient Roundtables are held every third Wednesday of the month and brought to you by Lympha Press, makers of the Optimal Plus. The Optimal Plus was specifically designed for lipedema patients, who report results that include reduced pain and increased mobility. Lipo-lymphedema patients benefit from the movement of lymph that Optimal Plus therapy provides, and often experience reduction in size. Find out more by visiting www.lymphapress.com.
