Glen Mills, PA – The Fun Dept., a Wilmington, Delaware based training and consulting firm has awarded Medical Solutions Supplier with the Winning Workplace Culture Award for the 2nd Quarter of 2016. The award acknowledges companies that incorporate fun activities and places a priority on enjoyment at work.
Colleen Fitzpatrick, Executive Assistant, submitted the Company for consideration and leads Medical Solutions Supplier’s employee engagement initiatives. “From celebrating accomplishments and birthdays to supporting charities in creative ways, Colleen’s sense of fun has infused MSS with activities that don’t detract from the work at hand, but enhance the quality of our workday and organizational relationships,” noted Joe Carberry, Executive Team Leader. Joe speaks from experience, as he agreed to be duct-taped to the office wall by employees as part of an Alex’s Lemonade Stand fundraiser.
Survey results revealed that:
- 100% of respondents rated MSS a “fun place to work”
- More than 50% say that fun is happening on a monthly basis
- 100% of respondents recognize that fun is valued at the company because it happens on company time
- 75% of employees said that the fun is suitable and enjoyed by all employees
One employee wrote, “Never before have I been a part of a corporate culture that places such a value on the happiness quotient of its employees. Fun isn’t ‘fun-ctional’ unless it is balanced with good communication, clearly defined expectations, dynamic leadership and practical tools to excel at work.
